THE VOICE OF A WOMAN – RAISING OUR VOICES FOR UNICEF
In 2014 THE VOICE OF A WOMAN hosted a series of live unplugged concerts with accompanying films screened in support of the launch of UNICEF'S campaign to end violence against children, ahead of the Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict, led by Angelina Jolie, Special Envoy to the UN High Commission for Refugees.
The summit held in London in June 2014, was the largest gathering ever brought together on sexual violence in Conflict, with 1,700 delegates and 123 country delegations including 79 Ministers. The Summit agreed practical steps to tackle impunity for the use of rape as a weapon of war, and to begin to change global attitudes to these crimes.
